Full Description

Hail Adventurer! Welcome to Spellswords! Spellswords is a GM-less fantasy roleplaying game where you will explore a vast open world, brave deadly dungeons, and forge unlikely alliances along the way. Spellswords has been designed from the ground up for solo play but expands seamlessly for groups, making it the ideal game for a lone adventurer or a table full of heroes! Gameplay A Hand-Crafted World: Explore an enormous pre-made hex map filled with points of interest from wizard towers to castles in the sky High Fantasy: Magic is abundant and everywhere from fireballs to enchanted armor forged from a meteor Dungeon Delving: Map your way through dark caves, ancient tombs, and abandoned fortresses sitting atop snowy mountains Player-Defined Spells: With 80 different evocative spell names, it's up to you how they can be used. A fireball, for example, can be a fearsome weapon or a welcome companion in the freezing northern mountains Skill-Based: You won't find classes here. The more you use a skill, the better you get at it. A character initially built as a fighter can learn to cast lightning bolts and one built as a necromancer can learn to wield a battleaxe like a mighty barbarian Endless Replayability: With 20+ tables to roll on, no adventure will ever look the same Fast & Deadly Combat: Say goodbye to rounds filled with rolling to hit and missing. In every round of combat, you or the enemy will be taking damage making combat quickly resolved after just a few rolls of the dice Inspired by Oldschool Games Such as: AD&D and Barbarian Prince Playtest Currently, Spellswords is still in development and undergoing rigorous testing and periodic updates. During the playtest phase of development, the game will be free to download, but eventually it's my intention to sell it once it's ready for its full release. In the meantime, please feel free to try it out and provide your thoughts.
